BUILD YOUR FOUNDATION ON INTEGRITY
We have all been in situations where we may have wanted to take a short cut, perhaps not do the right thing, maybe to tell an untruth to protect ourselves or another, or even not keeping our word.
Whatever it may be, however gross or subtle, life seems to throw at us tests every day to see how we will react. Life tests and checks our Integrity to see if we will act from a place of Dharma (right action) or Adharma (unethical behavior).
Sometimes we may think that taking that shortcut is all ok because nobody is looking, we won't get caught, or it is harmless. Perhaps we even think we are entitled to do whatever it is we want to do.
But we can't outwit the Goddess, and the Law of Karma essentially states that what you sow is what you reap. What you do is what you get. How you feel and behave is what is attracted back to you. All arrows will land eventually.
Integrity is doing the right thing at the right time for the right reasons in the right way - even if nobody is looking. It is behaving collaboratively, in a transparent way, for the good of all stakeholders. Integrity shows up as consistent behavior no matter who you are around, day in and day out.
If you are having trouble accomplishing your life goals, check your Integrity. Integrity is a prerequisite for the Goddess' Amazing Grace.
Integrity, which is also likened to the Hindu concept of Dharma (right action), should be the foundation of everything in our lives.
You can have knowledge, you may be the hardest worker, you may have the most talent of anyone around, but without Integrity it is like building a house on soft mud. It is going to shift, move, crack and eventually fall apart.
